Thanks for the replys guys!! i'm new here and should of gave you some more information. Learner FAQ's:= 'U want to Ride a Motorbike! Where Do U start?' If you want a reasonably quick dirt bike, I see little point in fucking about with an abused two-stroke learner-bike. get your test out the way, flog the thing on for near what you paid for it, and use the money to buy something a LOT more exiting for less money, and 125+ dirt bikes are in abundance. You sacrifice some style, and a little performance, but tend to gain a lot of livability and reliability and save a lot of money. Cheap wheels for commuting or a bike to get your licence with.Īs a learner bike, JUST to get your licence, a simple humble commuter makes a lot more sense.
great little bikes, in thier day, in many ways better than the Yam DT's, only trouble was thier day was twenty odd years ago.Īs a Laning tool, there are better, more modern bikes to go for, and the 200 was a well regarded machine for a long while.Īs a learner-Bike. which is all a bit of string job.Īs for KMX's. So how expensive depends on whats REALLY wrong, how contientiouse you are about sorting it properly, and who does the work. "Needs Top end rebuild" in an ad is usually translates to 'Really needs a complete engine tear down, but 'cos thats so effoff expensive, I've ridden it till it wont go at all any more, becouse the head-gaskets gone, so THAT'S the only bit I'm going to tell you about" Soon as that was done and the thing making the power it ought to, it would as like sieze from the extra load put on the bottom end. On a bike that age, its probably been thrashed well past crank replacement period and top end rebuild with rebore would only be the tip of the iceburg.
Hi all i was wondering how much it is for a top end rebuild on a KMX 125? (2000)Īlso what are your review's, opinions, on a kmx 125?ĭealer rates, coulpe be looking at a few hundred quid just to take it apart and put it back together again.
